Pumpkin Picking – FAQ’s

Do I need a ticket per person?

No, tickets are per car. We have a purpose-built events car park to help us manage capacity.

What should I wear?

Wellies or walking boots are recommended as the farm can get muddy. We also have an undercover pumpkin barn where you can pick pumpkins from in case of bad weather.

What is the farm experience?

The farm experience is led by the farmers at Bates Farm, where you will get to meet the sheep, cattle and pigs! The session is hands-on and educational, running every 30 minutes and included in your booking.

Is the farm accessible for prams & wheelchairs?

The farm, indoor pumpkin display and refreshments area are accessible for prams & wheelchairs. In dry weather conditions you will also be able to access the pumpkin patch.

Can I bring my dog?

Well behaved dogs are allowed on leads to the farm.

Will there be refreshments?

We are working with two food vendors who will be serving up coffee & cake and wood-fired pizzas throughout the day.

How long can you stay on the farm?

We suggest staying for 1.5 hours so you can enjoy everything we have to offer.

Can I rearrange or cancel my booking?

If you want to change the day or time of your booking you can amend your booking up to 24 hours before the booking.
