Pumpkin Picking – FAQ’s
Do I need a ticket per person?
No, tickets are per car. We have a purpose-built events car park to help us manage capacity.
Do I need to book?
Yes, entry to pumpkin patch is booking only. Last year we had back-to-back sell-out weekends, so we suggest booking in advance so you can join us at your preferred time.
What should I wear?
Wellies or walking boots are recommended as the farm can get muddy. We also have an undercover pumpkin barn where you can pick pumpkins from, in case of bad weather.
What animals are on the farm?
We will have a farmer’s corner where you will get to meet the pigs, sheep, calves and donkeys! This will be led by the farmers and you will be able to ask them any questions.
What is the indoor pumpkin barn?
The indoor pumpkin barn is full of beautiful pumpkin displays and photo opportunities, where you can also pick pumpkins from. It is undercover, clean, pushchair and wheelchair friendly. Often a perfect alternative to the pumpkin patch if little ones have only just started walking and you want to save mess!
Is the farm accessible for prams & wheelchairs?
The farm, indoor pumpkin display and refreshments are accessible for prams and wheelchairs. In dry weather conditions you will also be able to access the pumpkin patch.
Can I bring my dog?
Well behaved dogs on leads are allowed entry to the farm.
Will there be refreshments?
Yes! We are working with local food vendors, serving up delicious coffees, cakes and sweet-treat crepes throughout the day, as well as wood-fired pizzas from 12-4pm.
How long can you stay on the farm?
We suggest staying for 1.5 hours so you can enjoy everything we have to offer.
When is the best time to come?
The pumpkin fields are at their fullest at the start of the picking season in September – blooming in colour and often dryer underfoot. It is also much quieter in September and the first few weekends in October, as well as Half Term. Later on in October, the farm is much busier but your pumpkins are more likely to last until Halloween.
Can I rearrange or cancel my booking?
If you want to change the day or time of your booking you can amend your booking up to 24 hours before the booking.
Does my ticket include a pumpkin?
No, pumpkins can be picked and purchased on-site separately. They range from £1 – £15.
How much are pumpkins and how are they priced?
Pumpkins are £1 – £15 depending on size and variety. Prices of pumpkins are clearly sign posted at the start of the pumpkin barn and pumpkin patch to help manage your picking.
