Meet the Farming Sisters
Hello! We’re Ali & Fi, two farming sisters, running Bates Farm.
Over the last few years, we’ve taken on the reins of the farm and worked hard to bring in new ideas. Throughout the year we host seasonal events from meeting the lambs, pumpkin picking and a fun christmas concert!
We’re perfectly located between Manchester and Liverpool, easily accessible from the M6 and M62. Please check our opening times before visiting.
EXCELLENT Based on 165 reviews Posted on ElisaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have been to Bate’s farm twice in the past year and both experiences have been excellent. Once for the pumpkin picking which had an excellent variety of pumpkins and a big field to pick from. The second time was for their meet the lambs experience which was fabulous! We were lucky enough to see a live birthing, learned lots about lambing and sheep and even got to hold some baby lambs. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. There’s also a truck where you can grab hot drinks and cakes and on site toilet facilities. Cannot recommend bates farm enough.Posted on LucyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We visited Bates Farm for the first time, for their Deck the Barn event in December. We are so glad we did! It was absolutely everything you need to start feeling so so festive. Everything was so well thought out, it wasn’t too busy that it felt over crowded, which feels rare at this time of the year. We loved the choices of food and drink stalls, being able to meet some of the animals and the gospel choir concert got us up and dancing. We did all of this with our 1yo little boy and he loved every second. We can’t wait to make this a tradition and we had the best time making such gorgeous memories with our little family. Keep up your hard work girls, the local community massively appreciate it. ❤️Posted on HollieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently attended one of their 5km runs as well as their Christmas special, Deck the Barn, and both events were unforgettable in their own way. The attention to detail at Deck the Barn was truly outstanding—they thought of everything, from the delicious food and drinks to the entertainment, photo opportunities, and even getting up close with the farm animals. The Gospel band was absolutely incredible and brought such an amazing atmosphere. I’m already counting down the days until next year! And a special shoutout to their cinnamon buns—hands down the best I’ve ever had!Posted on EllenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Please make this a family tradition for us every year. The concert by Gospel Touch was just so wholesome and festive, it felt like a film. What an amazing concept and it was really like nothing we’d ever done at Christmas before. Perfect for all the family no matter the age. Credit needs to be given for this amazing Christmas event!! ❤️🎄Posted on DebbieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
